From now on we'll be doing all of our big raids on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm server time. The instances we raid won't be determined until we meet. The more people that show up the bigger the raids we can do. This is for more than just level 60s, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 will become the big instance day for all of our members. The reason we're setting up our raiding schedule in this manner is because The Dreadnaughts isn't a hardcore get-you-epics guild. We're going to end game to have fun with it, not to make commitments. If you can't show up at raid times don't worry about it, you won't get kicked out of the guild and nobody's gonna be mad at you (if they get mad at you tell me and I whoop they ass). But try and be there when you can so we can start raiding the big stuff ASAP. The following information is the most important raid information you'll ever read. Do it now or I'll cry. I know it's a lot to read but you only have to read it once. Suck it up.
Important raid stuff to know:
- The Council Members and I will determine what we're raiding so don't go off creating your own groups unless one of us gives you permission. If no Council Members are online then Barons will tell you what to raid. If no Council Members OR Barons are online... g'damn people...
- What we raid on any given day depends on how many people show up and what their levels are. If you want to raid something big then get all your buddies to sign on at raiding time.
- If we don't raid what you're hoping to I'm sorry but we're trying to do what's best for the guild as a whole. Please remember that you're a part of a team and that we're doing everything we can to help everyone out. If you don't feel like we're spending enough time in the instances you want then speak with me or the Council in private and we'll figure it out.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays are good days to raid. I'm sorry if that doesn't work for you.
- In order to participate in raids (10 man+) you NEED to have ventrilo. Check the "Guild Requirements" thread for more information about ventrilo, like how to get it. You don't necessarily need a mic but you'll suffer without one because most people probably won't be paying attention to chat.
- You'll also need CT_RaidAssist. It's an amazing tool that'll help you keep up with the rest of the raid. It's another thing you'll really suffer without. The "Guild Requirements" thread tells you all about that too.
- Phat lewtz will be distributed by the leader of the raid (either me, a Council Member, or maybe occaisionally a Baron if we're desparate for a leader). Please bear in mind that we're working for the guild as a whole and the most important members of the raid group (like main tanks) will most likely get first dibs on equipment, followed by the people with guild seniority (officers or guild veterans) because they won't run off to another guild with their epix. If officers and veterans don't need the drops then everyone will roll for them. We'll have a "need" roll where people will roll for it only if it's an upgrade, followed by a "greed" roll for people who just want cash-money. If you win an item that you don't want feel free to donate it to the guild bank. Just let the raid leader know you don't need it or mail it yourself to the character "Dreadbank". Donations are good ;D
If you have any questions about the new raiding system post them here or ask me or the Council in-game. If you have any complaints about it we'll address them in private. Congratulations on going end game Dreadnaughts!
P. to-the S. We're looking for class-specific officers so if you think you know a lot about your class (anyone in the guild) talk to me or a Council Member and we'll discuss who gets to be the officer. Please note you'll have to be able to make it to most of the raids if you take this position and that it holds a lot of responsibility. You'll be the mentor for all the guild members of your class so take this matter seriously.
